HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) involves breathing almost pure oxygen while in a chamber. Oxygen is carried around the body by the blood.
Breathing in pure oxygen under increased pressure, called HBOT, allows extra oxygen to be taken up by the bloodstream and dissolved more quickly.
This extra oxygen can help where healing is slowed down by infection or where blood supply is limited by damage to the tissues.
HBOT is safe, effective and can change people's lives.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Oxy2Therapy wishes to make this available commercially to those that need it e.g. cancer patients, those with conditions such as MND or who have sports injuries.
There is strong support in some circles for using HBOT to help improve the quality of life of veterans - as such Oxy2Therapy would like to also provide this service free of charge to military charity, Pilgrim Bandits (the commercial side of the business will fund this work).
Advocates say that the treatment may benefit those who have experienced traumatic brain injury (TBI) and those who have PTSD.
